While Summit County, Colorado does not have the resources that other, larger cities have, help is available. The number of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in the county has grown, and NA meetings may be added in several cities in the future.

Consider Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) for Addiction Recovery

Recovering from an addiction can be extremely hard, and it is often too much for people to handle with peer support alone. Some people find that they need the type of support that is available through a professional program. Although AA and NA can be effective, they are not always right for everyone.

A quality addiction rehab can provide people with all the support and services they need to recover. It should address both the physical and the psychological aspects of the person’s substance abuse problem. In addition, the staff should be able to determine if a co-occurring disorder led to the addiction. If so, proper treatment is needed to help the individual be successful.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program

Intensive outpatient programs, or IOPs, have been instrumental in the lives of so many addicts and alcoholics in recovery. Many of our clients are unable to commit to an inpatient program. Others have finished inpatient rehab, but they are not quite ready for a more traditional outpatient treatment experience. Our IOP is set up to help both.

IOPs have been shown to be very effective; in fact, the best programs are just as effective as inpatient treatment. Clients are expected to attend a certain number of appointments each week, which usually means three to five. Each appointment is lengthy to allow enough time for support group meetings and individual therapy sessions.

When people leave inpatient rehab, it can be difficult for them to integrate back into the community. They need help transitioning, and yet, they also still need a lot of support to stay clean and sober. An IOP offers the perfect solution for these individuals. Not only can they continue to get the necessary support, but they can also slowly learn how to live their lives like normal without substances.

Our Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehab

Some people have gone through an IOP before, or they do not need that level of care after finishing an inpatient program. Typically, our traditional outpatient rehab program is what we recommend in those cases.

Outpatient rehab means meeting regularly with a therapist who treats the client for substance abuse. They address any co-occurring disorders that the individual may suffer from, and provide the best treatment for them.

Dual diagnosis treatment is the best approach for someone with a co-occurring disorder. This ensures that the condition that led to their addiction is being treated. As a result, the person typically has less of a reason to go back to using because they no longer need to self-medicate their symptoms away.
