Dr. Michelle Weil completed her psychiatry residency in Pittsburgh, PA, followed by an addiction fellowship in Denver, CO. She has gained extensive experience in a variety of addiction treatment settings, including outpatient addiction and methadone clinics, residential treatment, and inpatient detoxification. Dr. Weil has had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including pregnant women, adolescents, veterans, and forensic clients. Her expertise in motivational interviewing and medication-assisted treatment is both comprehensive and deeply informed.
In addition to her role at Women’s Recovery, Dr. Weil maintains a private outpatient practice. Her passion for addiction treatment is deeply personal, as it stems from her own journey with drug addiction. She has shared her personal story and professional insights at the American Psychiatric Association’s annual meeting multiple times, emphasizing that while addiction can affect anyone, recovery is possible with the right guidance and support.
