Why Gender Specific Women’s Rehab in Denver Works

Addiction is different for everyone and there are various reasons it can develop.

Women’s rehab in Denver is beneficial and further pinpoints female addiction recovery. It’s been proven that men and women develop addiction differently. Women are more likely to abuse substances due to stress, wanting to fill a void in their life, and physical pain.

It’s important to get specific when it comes to addiction recovery. Gender specific recovery can further pinpoint the reasons for addiction. A multifaceted program that focuses on the mind, body, and spirit can increase chances of a successful recovery.

Denver Women’s Recovery Outpatient Program

At Denver Women’s Recovery, our outpatient program focuses on mental health, addiction, and trauma. Our Intensive Outpatient Programs are specifically for women. We have an all female staff that offer you individualized care. You’ll receive one on one counseling as well as become part of the community of caring women. Group support is an important component to recovery. The benefits of an outpatient program include:

  • Flexibility – No matter what your lifestyle looks like, we can accommodate you. At our center, we have morning and evening options in a group setting and one on one therapy. We tailored our program to meet the needs of busy women.
  • Close to home – We are located right in the city of Denver (as well as Dillon). This means you don’t have to travel far from home to get the help you need.
  • Costs less than inpatient rehab – Women’s rehab in Denver can be expensive. This is especially true for the inpatient rehab programs. Our Intensive Outpatient Program offers the same quality of care but costs much less. You also won’t be missing work to attend our program.

Denver Women’s Recovery Services

Here are some of the other services at our Women’s rehab in Denver:

We offer recovery housing for women in Denver if you need it. This could be during the time you’re going through our IOP or once it’s completed.

For women with an addiction to alcohol or opioids, we offer Vivitrol. This can help ease withdrawal symptoms so you can focus on the psychological reasons for your addiction.

There are a high amount of addictions that developed due to some form of trauma. We know it’s important to offer treatment for any past trauma to women.

Many times, there is an underlying mental health issues that become intertwined with addiction. This is known as co-occurring disorder and can bring on greater challenges in recovery. We have a specialized program to help women in rehab deal with not only addiction but also mood disorders.

You may not think that what you eat matters but it can make a big difference to your recovery. By consuming certain foods, it can improve your mood, reduce cravings, give you more energy, and generally make you feel strong physically.

We believe that part of a full spectrum women’s rehab in Denver for addiction should include holistic recovery methods. Neurofeedback is non-invasive and is useful in treating addiction and different types of mental health conditions. This form of therapy is quite new so you may not know what it is exactly.

Neurofeedback helps you to learn how to modify how you think. First, your brainwaves will be studied and then we guide you on how to modify how you think at the most crucial times. We offer this within our outpatient program.
